Chitkul is the crown jewel of the Baspa Valley and famously the last inhabited village on the old Hindustan-Tibet trade route. Wooden slate-roofed houses, turquoise rivers rolling over white boulders, and majestic Kinnaur Kailash peaks watching from above. We travel through the thrilling cliff-cut roads of Kinnaur, hike along the Baspa riverbank, and spend unforgettable evenings gazing at starry skies.
